New Platforms, New-found Love of Expression

New platforms on the internet are creating new growth and enabling
new forms of expression and renewed appreciation in written content
thru the spoken word. See video below.

BBC’s Jane O’Brien’s article on Poetry Out Loud competition, in Washington, D.C.
reports  on that renewed interest.

Poetry Out Loud is a national competition aimed at reviving the oral art form.

Explosion of Performance Poetry and Written

O’Brien reports that in the last 5 years, subscriptions to Poetry Foundation’s magazine have tripled and 90,000 poems are submitted annually for publication.”
