The Google Calendar App was down for the better part of over 3 hours today.

The service had recent load issues April 28 from a surge in Android calendar synchronization request. The unintentional network affect (surge) pushed the Calendar App to fail-over mode. Read the Google Apps Incident Report.

Today again, the Calendar App went down as first reported around 7:50am PST/10:50am EST.
