US Companies using blogs for marketing purposes 2007-2012

Companies are finding that blogs fill a specific niche
that other forms of social media do not.

Social media marketing for companies is gaining traction and yielding business results.

A recent study on eMarketer shows corporate blogging to rise by 43% by 2012.

Most notable is the increase in companies marketing with a public facing blog. Up 1 in 3 (34%) in 2010, which is up from 1 in 4 (25%) in 2008.

Business value to companies in using blogs: for lead generation; as a traffic driver; for customer service.
