Google today celebrates Samuel Morse, the American inventor of the telegraph and of the electronic communication system named Morse Code.
The name telegraph derives from Greek meaning to write far. The telegraph’s significance is that it extended the reach and speed of communications electronically with a understandable alphabetical system.
Google often changes its brand logo on its homepage to represent a significant event, person, or idea du jour.
I find Google impressive in its ephemeral artistic representation of all things little and large as its occasional brand.
While the telegraph extended our communication’s speed and reach, Google broadens the context of our communication as a, and with its communication tools.
